Welcome to the Department of English Literature!

English is increasingly important to success in higher education and the 21st-century workplace. We, Department of English Literature, envisions that people can access English language education in higher education. It starts with teachers. We believe that when teachers are better educated and better equipped with the knowledge and skills, they also motivate and empower their students. We pursue the vision through our comprehensive ELT degree programs. Our strategic plan is aligned with the National Qualification Frameworks (NQFs) key competency to help the students achieve their desired goals. This strategic plan builds on our decade of success as an accredited academic institution in Cambodia to maximize our impact and make our students the future leaders in the field of ELT locally and globally.

In our programs, we offer both Associate’s Degree in TEFL (2-year program) and a Bachelor’s Degree in TEFL and a Bachelor’s degree in English Communication (4-year program). The undergraduate programs encourage students to engage in English language teaching and lifelong development and give them the tools they need to do so academically and professionally. The program aims at bolstering students’ language competency and performance with the four macro-skills: speaking, listening, writing, and reading. We, moreover, ignite students to sharpen their soft skills and foster effective collaboration and intercultural communication in everything they do in the real world through internship and practicum during their 3rd and 4th year of the program. Ultimately, Students will use their English language skills to unpack the door to career opportunities and continuing professional developments.

Best Regards,

Be Borey

(Head Department of English Literature)
